The Avenue Weekend – 11/26/10 – 11/28/10
November 26th, 2010 by marklove
Once you’re all shopped out, you might like to unwind a bit. Perhaps happy hours from Estia, 10Arts, or Bliss would put you right. Maybe some comfort food from Good Dog would do the trick (the Good Dog burger is heaven). Or, maybe, you’re looking for more traditional Avenue events:
Free at the Kimmel brings us Latin sounds in the form of The Official Fania DJ Tribute Party, 5:30 Friday evening, at Commonwealth Plaza.
The Kimmel also continues their Broadway season with South Pacific, Jersey Boys, and Sister’s Christmas Catechism. Details, showtimes, and ticket information are found here.
Heading to PAFA this weekend? Check out this update on Lenfest Plaza from our friends at Brownstoner Philly.
Have a great weekend, find lots of great gifts for your loved ones, and come enjoy yourself on The Avenue.

The Avenue in the News
November 23rd, 2010 by marklove
We are the only destination you need for Avenue news:
From our friends at Foobooz, take a visit to North Broad this Sunday (November 28) and enjoy courses prepared by Jonathan Sawyer, from Greenhouse Tavern in Cleveland, and Osteria’s Jeff Michaud – with Osteria’s staff pairing the wines.
From our friends at Geekadelphia, check out this lunchtime talk at PAFA: State of the Union: Linh Dinh’s Dismal Photographs. Also, check out The Women’s Writing and Spoken Word Series Wednesday night at Robin’s Bookstore, at 13th & Sansom.
We hope you’re having a great week, and that this week, Tuesday is your Thursday.
